Builders oversee, coordinate and manage construction. They manage schedules and work diligently and efficiently. They ensure construction of homes meet building standards, make sure the job sites are safe and also communicate with customers throughout the process. Builders should enjoy working outdoors. A college degree is preferred but not required, depending on experience. Certifications from the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) or state regulatory bodies are a plus.
