It is our ultimate mission to make the home building process as smooth as possible. While building your home, we pace our work and track our progress to ensure we're working diligently, fulfilling the needs of our buyers and building homes efficiently - without compromising quality.
Our 11-step process* presented below allows us to stay buyer focused.
STEP 1: FIND LAND
If you’re currently searching for land to build your new home, contact us and we'll get you in touch with someone who can help you research available land in your area.
STEP 2: BEGIN LENDING PROCESS
While it's your responsibility to provide financing—whether using cash or with a loan—we’ll recommend a few trusted lenders with whom you can work.
STEP 3: INITIAL APPOINTMENT
Within a brief one hour meeting, we’ll learn more about you, your wants and needs and any questions you may have.
STEP 4: PROPERTY EVALUATION
We’ll evaluate the property for site preparation, soil conditions, and whether or not your land already has water and power before taking you through our floor plan options.
STEP 5: PICK YOUR PLAN
With 20+ unique floor plans to choose from, ranging anywhere from 1,400 to 3,800 heated square feet, we’ll help you narrow down your options while considering space, square footage, features and interior design.
STEP 6: WRITE AGREEMENT
Signed, sealed, delivered—once we have ink on paper, you can send your agreement to your lender and continue the lending process.
STEP 7: CONSTRUCTION LOAN CLOSING
To gain approval, your lender will let you know which supporting documents they need from you. You’re on your way to scheduling your design appointment!
STEP 8: DESIGN APPOINTMENT
Head over to our Design Studio, get creative and add your personal touch! Here, you’ll choose your cabinets, countertops, flooring and more!
STEP 9: PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING
Before construction begins, we’ll take some time with you to review plans, your design studio selections and make sure your home stakes are set in place.
STEP 10: CONSTRUCTION BEGINS
From the first foundation to final completion, our team will be in-touch every step of the way with construction updates throughout the process.
STEP 11: ORIENTATION & CLOSING
Time to seal the deal! Get ready to explore your new home and learn more about your new systems. Now, you’re ready to move in. Congratulations on your new home purchase and welcome home!
*While Build On Your Land by Keystone Homes recommends these steps during the home buying process, these steps do not necessarily need to be completed in the order indicated above. For instance, new buyers may meet with a lender at any stage throughout the process—it does not necessarily need to take place on the front end of the process.
